At Girls on the Run Greater Connecticut, we are in an exciting season of evolution and expansion. The Program Manager strategically shapes our programming efforts across five counties in Connecticut: Hartford, New Haven, Fairfield, Litchfield and Tolland.
Position Profile
We are looking for a dynamic, innovative, results driven, and mission focused leader to guide the statewide programming efforts of Girls on the Run Greater Connecticut as our Program Manager. This highly visible leadership position will build, lead and implement our programming to fulfill the Girls on the Run mission. As a key member of the organization’s leadership team, the Program Manager reports to and partners closely with our Executive Director and supervises our Program Coordinator. The role requires strong relationship building, the management of a high volume of work with efficiency, excellent communication skills, a strong sense of ownership and resilience, flexibility, and empathic leadership.
Responsibilities
The Girls on the Run Greater Connecticut Program Manager (PM) manages all programming for Girls on the Run including our program for 3-5th grade girls, Girls on the Run, and our program for 6th-8th grade girls, Heart & Sole. The PM oversees all aspects of the programs, including setting goals; recruitment and the application process; coach training facilitation and support, and overall program management.

Compensation & Benefits:
This position will begin as a full-time 40-hour per week role offering a compensation rate of $21.50 - $24 per hour, depending on experience. Beginning July 1, 2024, GOTR Greater Connecticut will implement a 35-hour work week and proportionately increase hourly wages to ensure consistency in total pay. This translates the future compensation range for this role to $24.73 to $27.42. In addition, GOTR Connecticut offers staff generous PTO and a comprehensive benefits package including medical benefits, employer-paid life insurance, and paid medical leave.
