The Role

The HR Specialist will support our employees by executing key functions of the HR department including full-cycle onboarding and offboarding, recruitment, payroll, benefits administration, HRIS management, and employee training.

Responsibilities

  • Benefits: Enrolling new hires and processing terminations, annual enrollment, monthly invoicing, FMLA/parental leave, health savings & retirement savings plans
  • Payroll & Compensation: Preparing data and processing payroll (reg, bonuses, commission, biweekly & monthly) and annual market research for salary recommendations and salary range structure
  • Managing all reporting requests and requirements (internal and external)
  • Compliance: Ensuring all contracts, posters, policies, and procedures are compliant
  • Maintaining data accuracy within HRIS: Ensuring that all employee records and profiles are updated regularly 
  • Processing compensation changes and promotions
  • Full Cycle Onboarding & Offboarding
  • HR Inquires (inbox/tickets): Monitoring tickets/inbox, responding and following up
  • Full Cycle Recruitment: Screening & interviewing, job descriptions, scheduling interviews, job postings, offer letters/contracts
  • Managing all employee, staffing agencies, and contractor agreements, partnering with Accounting to ensure payments are processed in a timely manner

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • At least two years of human resource experience required.
  • Experience with multi-state payroll is preferred.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred.

  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems (BambooHR, NetBenefits, and Paylocity is a plus).

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
