Brentwood Baptist Church is Hiring a WORSHIP MINISTER - THE CHURCH AT WEST FRANKLIN Near Franklin, TN
The Worship Minister shall be responsible to the church, under the direction of the Campus & Teaching Pastor, to oversee and coordinate all aspects of the worship ministry at The Church at West Franklin such as the development and supervision of a comprehensive music program; the planning and conducting of worship services with the Campus and Teaching Pastor; special events within and related to the church; and serve as liaison between WFK staff and BBC communications team. These duties include the direct supervision of any volunteers involved in this ministry.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES may include but are not limited to the following:
Plan and lead a weekly God-honoring and excellent worship experience aligned with core Brentwood Baptist worship philosophy of ministry
Lead worship services for key Holy Days and special events, such as Christmas Eve, Holy Week, Easter and church-wide baptism celebrations
Develop and lead a rhythm section
Develop and lead vocal teams
Develop and lead the worship choir
Assess and maintain music resources such as sheet music, digital recordings, and instruments
Oversee Worship Budget
Ability to lead and accompany from piano and/or guitar is preferred
Serve as a liaison between West Franklin staff team and the Communications team from Brentwood Baptist
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES may include but are not limited to the following:
Effectively communicate and work alongside an administrative assistant, who will help carry-out the day to day administrative responsibilities of the Music and Worship Ministry.
Pray with and for all staff members on a regular basis and hold staff members accountable for personal spiritual and ministerial growth (self-development plan).
Lead regular team meetings in order to communicate clearly about strategic, tactical and operational goals. These meetings should also develop a sense of teamwork and foster a sense of cooperation among the ministries.
Report to the Campus & Teaching Pastor at least quarterly on team progress and initiatives.
Support the Campus & Teaching Pastor as needed, including working with the Music and Worship Team to support key sermon series during strategic times of the year.
Serve as a shepherd and minister to the volunteers of the music ministry and, whenever possible, to the congregation as a whole.
Be available to serve the church as a decision counselor, pastoral counselor, on-call minister and on-site minister (as assigned). Perform weddings and funerals as available.
Collaborate with the BBC Communications Team regularly and gather information weekly to ensure they have what they (and WFK staff team) need to provide excellent media support/information pieces for worship services and other activities or events.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A strong Christ-follower who can identify closely with the mission, values, vision, and priorities of Brentwood Baptist Church.
A mature Christian who is growing in his or her personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible Study, prayer, and service.
A willingness to be a “team player,” where collaboration can exist between the Discipleship Ministries and other ministries within the church.
An understanding and passion for discipleship groups (both on and off campus)
The proven ability to think strategically and creatively work with ministry models and paradigms.
The proven ability to identify, train, lead and care for staff.
Strong managerial and leadership skills combined with an exceptional relational ability. Training in Modelnetics (Main Event Management) preferred or essential in the first year.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
The proven ability to identify, equip and lead a team of minister and support staff.
The proven ability to manage people, budgets, long-range planning and plan implementation in secular and/or church environments.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required, preferred with a focus on Worship, Music, Music Education, Vocal Performance or other related area. Seminary education also preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience is required working in successful worship leadership/choral leadership roles.
