Location: On site in Arlington, Virginia.

Position Information:

GTSC has a current opening for a Desktop Support Technician to support the FDIC, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. This is a Tier 2 & 3 role on a full-time, long term contract.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Install and Configure desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and associated Peripherals and related Software.
• Perform onsite updates, Configuration changes, or Software installations.
• Perform bulk MACDs.
• Provide technical Support and setup during special events such as conferences.
• Provide onsite technical assistance to End Users.

Required:

• Candidates must be in good financial standing. This includes not having: bankruptcies, car reposessions, poor credit score, debt collection without a payment plan, or bad standing with the IRS.
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent amount of related experience.
• At least three (3) years of experience in service delivery, Network hardware, and software Configuration troubleshooting.
• Experience with various desktop systems, operating systems, and diverse technical environments.
• Excellent customer service orientation and verbal communication skills.
• Experience Supporting Windows Operating Systems, MAC Operating Systems, MS Office, VPN, local and Network printing, and mobile device services such as ActiveSync.
• Ability to install software for and troubleshoot a wide range of applications.
• All applicants must be United States Citizens.
• This position supports a federal government agency that requires a Background Investigation. The candidate must be able to clear a Public Trust clearance as well in order to commence work. That requires living in the United States for the past three years.

Pay: $58,000.00 - $63,000.00 per year
