Intersect Power LLC is Hiring a Senior Director, IT & Software Solutions Near Canada, KY

About This Position

This role will be responsible for strategic leadership and oversight for the implementation and support of all corporate IT initiatives. This senior-level role encompasses management of our technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, cloud-based systems, and facility resources and reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

Overview of Department

The IT & Software Team is currently composed of two team members in Financial Systems and Corporate IT, and the company is expecting to hire a manager to support the software initiative by the end of the year. This role will serve as the department head for this team and represent Corporate IT and Software across the company.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of IT initiatives to support corporate objectives, ensuring robust, scalable technology infrastructure, including the creation and management of a technology roadmap.
  • Oversee the management of hardware and software resources with a strong emphasis on optimizing and expanding our cloud-based system capabilities.
  • Direct the development and integration of software applications, system architecture, and database management across multiple departments to enhance operational efficiency and data governance.
  • Manage IT aspects of corporate facilities, including the maintenance of dedicated office spaces and coordination of co-working arrangements, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of IT systems and platforms, fostering innovation and operational excellence.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts throughout the organization to analyze, recommend, and support implementation and standardize technology specs, as needed
  • Ability to maintain an in-depth understanding of our department's unique technical needs and challenges.
  • Actively build and manage vendor relationships to ensure that our solutions and services meet the company's needs.
  • Able to perform risk assessments of our current and future cross-departmental platforms, and propose solutions and improvements where needed, and be a champion for a strong cybersecurity environment across the company.
  • Ensure corporate IT infrastructure is scalable and secure.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in technology and software engineering, and identify opportunities to improve the company's operations through the use of technology.
  • Creating, implementing key policies such as business continuity policies, disaster recovery, data privacy, and change management. 
Qualifications and Skills
  • 10 years in information technology / engineering with 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3 years applied experience.
  • Proficient in coding in Python and experience with Relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Extensive experience in IT leadership roles within cloud-based environments, demonstrating proficiency in managing cloud infrastructure and software development. 
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including Infrastructure as a service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS), and their application in driving business value. 
  • Deep knowledge of cloud security best practices, compliance requirements, and experience in implementing security controls and protocols in cloud environments. 
  • Proficiency in software development methodologies suited for cloud-based applications, such as Agile, DevOps, or Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD). 
  • Excellent strategic planning and project management skills, with ability to develop and execute cloud infrastructure strategies aligned with business goals and objectives.

Physical and Sensory Requirements
  • Mostly sedentary work; using standard office equipment including: a computer, keyboard, and telephone. 
  • Position is part of a remote team, with regular electronic and video communication
  • Position requires up to 25% travel including ~4 weeks a year of company-wide meetups.

Salary & Benefits
  • Salary:USD$180,000 to $200,000 or CAD$243,792 to $270,880 base salary with 20-25% annual target bonus
