Position Summary:
As a General Manager, you will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and overseeing all aspects of day-to-day operations in the restaurant. You will play a critical role in ensuring maximum sales and profitability by maintaining operational standards, inventory and expense control, practicing and enforcing proper safety and sanitation standards, and by properly managing operating and labor costs. You will be accountable for guest satisfaction and the overall guest experience through knowing, upholding, and enforcing all policies, procedures, and service standards for both the front and back of house. You will report to the Director of Operations, and lead your team in a professional and respectful manner always.
Job Description:
· Manage, coach, lead, influence, and motivate a team of restaurant staff
· Hire, train, retrain, and develop a skilled team able to perform at a consistently high level
· Assures appropriate staffing levels and shift coverage
· Deliver an unparalleled guest experience by upholding high standards of customer service
· Identify, address, and document staff disciplinary issues
· Maintaining food quality and sanitation standards
· Ensure the practice of food safety and sanitation standards required of foodservice establishments
· Adhering to scheduling and labor budgets on a weekly basis
· Ordering and budgeting of restaurant needs
· Hitting weekly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals
· Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and guests in strict accordance with company standards
· Represent the brand in a professional and polished manner at all times
· Perform walk-throughs to assess staffing, maintenance, operational, sanitation and other needs
Requirements:
· Previous General Manager experience within the restaurant or food service industry (min. 3 years)
· Adaptability, flexibility, and general enthusiasm for the business
· Strong written and communication skills; ability to write and verbalize in a clear and concise manner
· Detail oriented and well organized
· Strong leadership skills with ability to enthusiastically interact with others
· Demonstrates respect for individuals and appreciation of diversity
· Works well under pressure, upholding high personal standards of conduct and professionalism
· Ability to make good decisions in stressful, high risk situations
· Able to multitask with a smile in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
· Able to uphold high standards with a positive can-do attitude
· Food Handler’s Certification required
· Open availability (including night and weekends)
· Must be 18 years old or older
