ExpressPoint has an opening for a Staff Accountant to join our corporate Finance team. This position will support the company objectives and financial goals for ExpressPoint by providing accounting support to properly record financial transactions. Assists in administering and maintaining financial and accounting programs.

This position can be based out of our El Paso, TX office or remote from one of the following states: AZ, CA, CO, DE, FL, GA, IL, ME, MN, MT, ND, NJ, NY, OH, PA AND TX.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct the preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations in collaboration with Supervisor to ensure the integrity of the financial statements.
  • Accountable to ensure financial journal entries, adjustments, accruals, and other analyses are prepared in a complete, accurate and timely manner and is recorded in accordance with GAAP.
  • Participate in preparation of the annual financial audit timetable. Duties may include the creation of schedules and work papers and assisting others with their respective duties.
  • Provide feedback and process improvement suggestions to continually meet our strategic objectives and enhance our current processes.
  • Ensure timely, tactful, and respectful communication with all internal and external customers.
  • Follow all policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or finance preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years of staff accounting experience.
  • Microsoft Excel experience with VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables and basic formulas.
  • Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite, Great Plains or similar financial software preferred.
  • Extremely accurate and orientation to detail.
  • Analytical and problem-solving acumen.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to learn new methods and procedures as requested or required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
