Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Restoration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a background in construction/demolition, a willingness to work overtime, and assist with water damage and content restoration efforts. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced and sometimes challenging environments.

Pay Range: $18 - $21/hour; based on experience

Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to emergency water, fire, and mold damage situations and assess the extent of damage to structures and contents.
  • Implement appropriate mitigation and restoration procedures to prevent further damage and promote efficient drying processes.
  • Utilize industry-standard equipment such as pumps, extractors, dehumidifiers, and air movers to extract water, dry affected areas, and restore the property.
  • Support the lead technician with inspections of affected structures to identify hidden moisture and ensure proper drying techniques are applied.
  • Remove and dispose of damaged materials as necessary, including flooring, drywall, and insulation.
  • Safely handle and transport contents from water, fire, or mold damaged areas for cleaning, drying, and restoration.
  • Assist in content inventory, packing, and documenting items for off-site restoration services.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including moisture readings, equipment usage, and project documentation.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times to minimize risks to yourself, team members, and clients.

Qualifications:

1. Experience in the restoration or construction industry (not required but preferred), and the ability to learn and use power tools.

2. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

3. The ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform strenuous tasks.

4. Hardworking with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team.

5. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.

6. Willingness to work in challenging environments.

7. Valid driver's license

8. Willing to undergo and pass a background check – felony and misdemeanor-free
