We are hiring safety-conscious Machine Operators for all shifts at a manufacturer serving the aerospace, defense, and transit industries in Hopkinton, Massachusetts.

Starting pay is dependent on shift and experience:

• 1st shift, 6:30am-3:00pm — $18.00-$20.00
• 2nd shift, 3:00pm-11:30pm — $19.00-$22.00
• 3rd shift 10:30pm-6:30am — $20.00-$23.00

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED/equivalent
• General knowledge of production machines
• Able to maintain attention to detail and speed while performing repetitive work
• Exhibit a high degree of responsibility with an emphasis on safety
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment 
• Able to communicate effectively in the English language, oral and written, to ensure work is performed safely and correctly

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating automatic or semi-automatic assembly equipment and using various common hand tools. Machine Operators check product quality using prescribed quality procedure record, notify the lead person of any issues, and make corrections as instructed. The Machine Operator also maintains accurate documents such as inspection check sheets on produced parts or equipment, labor cards, change notices, and records of inventory used.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations. Maintain a safe working area and safe equipment for all employees and enforce all PPE requirements. Contribute to a Safety First Culture by identifying Risky Situations.
• Identify, obtain, and use proper material, understand equipment operation and sequence of assembly process.
• Check against process sheet or routing.
• Assemble components producing quality parts while meeting efficiency standards.
• Perform secondary operations such as marking, packing and labeling.
• Check equipment using prescribed preventative maintenance procedures.
• Work to eliminate non-value-added activities.
