Singer Equipment Company Inc is Hiring a Bid & Contract Manager Near Elverson, PA

Overview

We are seeking a bid and contract manager to lead our efforts in cost optimization through contract utilizations, driving growth through strategic bids, and creating a roadmap for future expansion. This role will be responsible for overseeing the contract management process, defining and implementing the bid process, and developing relationships with key stakeholders in partner organizations.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies for managing contracts, Oversee the contract management process, including understanding existing contracts, their utilization, and ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Analyze existing contracts and pricing agreements to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved margins.
  • Develop and maintain a centralized contract management system to streamline administration and ensure compliance.
  • Design and implement processes for bid desk operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in managing bidding processes; and build and manage a high-performing bid desk team, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
  • Oversee the bid management process, including developing bid strategies, preparing bid documents, and managing bid responses.
  • Work closely with suppliers to secure contracts for bids, negotiate pricing, and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Collaborate with sales and procurement teams to identify opportunities for cost savings, improved margins, and strategic bidding opportunities.
  • Support sales teams in identifying cross-selling and upselling opportunities based on contract terms and customer needs.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Provide support in the preparation of proposals and presentations for new business pitches and client meetings.
  • Collaborate with IT and data analytics teams to enhance data management processes and reporting capabilities.
  • Assist in training sales and procurement teams on contract terms, pricing strategies, and best practices.
  • Handle ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the Vice President of Sales Operations.

Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in contract management, bid management, finance, or procurement within a B2B environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, data visualization tools, and BI tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and present findings to senior leadership.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in data analysis and contract negotiation.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and contract management software is a plus.
