Circle Of Friends is Hiring a Youth Program Coordinator Near Sisters, OR

Position Title: Youth Program Coordinator

Reports to: Youth Program Director

Hours: Negotiable, 25-37 hrs. per week; varies - M-F, some weekends

Pay Range: $37,000 - $55,000 exempt; full benefit package

Job Purpose:

The Youth Program Coordinator will be responsible for implementing and coordinating program services/activities that correlate with the established goals and objectives of Circle of Friends. They will work directly with our Youth Program Leads to assure program quality that will identify and remove barriers to effective service delivery. The Youth Program Coordinator will develop and maintain relationships with families, mentees, volunteers and community partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibility is to build relationships with youth, families, and staff across the entire Program Team and to create continuity and intentionality of service for youth in their care.
  • Support the Youth Program Leads by participating in all team meetings, by planning and organizing volunteers for group activities and supporting all events.
  • Know, understand, honor, and support the organization’s mission, vision, values, principles, and policies, and be able to clearly articulate the organization’s function.
  • Provide enrichment resources and activities which include opportunities for cultural awareness, diversity, and community service for youth across the organization.
  • Develop positive relationships with families, teachers and others involved in our youth’s life.
  • Provide information and support to the Youth Program Leads for related activities as needed.
  • Maintain connections with Sisters Schools and social service agencies to help identify youth in need.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Experience with youth who have experienced trauma.
  • Working knowledge of community, systems, and resources in Central Oregon.
  • Experience planning and implementing activities for groups and 1:1 youth interaction.
  • Experience with coordinating volunteers.
  • Group Facilitation and Program Planning Experience.
  • Mentoring experience in high-risk environments.
  • Experience setting goals and develop plans to meet those goals.
  • Basic computer and keyboarding skills.
  • Ability to work independently in diverse environments with limited supervision.
  • Associates degree and one year of experience working or volunteering with youth.

Applicant must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to complete a background check and drug screening.
