ALPHA MACHINE COMPANY is Hiring an Aerospace Quality Inspector Near Phoenix, AZ

About the Job:
We are offering a $500 bonus if hired. Paid 30 days after continuous employment.
We are currently hiring an Experienced Aerospace Quality Inspector at our CNC machine shop in Phoenix, AZ.
You will have typical Aerospace Quality Inspection job duties to include:
  • Receives and inspects outside vendor parts for compliance with required process, certification, and any other required paperwork. Documents and reports on all discrepancies.
  • Inspects purchased parts, assemblies, accessories, and raw materials for conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments and devices: Examines items for defects in materials, work, and damage occurring in transit.
  • Performs in-process inspections per documented requirements and reports on all discrepancies.
  • Prepares Inspection Discrepancy Report as required. 
  • Performs source inspections as requested by customers and completes all associated documentation.
  • Compares the completed product with parts list, drawings, blueprints, customer purchase order, customer specifications, and/or sample model to ensure that the product meets customer expectations. Verifies specified dimensions of product or material. Prepares and completes Detailed Inspection Plan (DIP).
  • Performs first article inspections and completes all associated documentation.
  • Assist in writing and updating inspection procedures, protocols, and checklists.
  • Prepare inspection procedure outlines for reference use in subsequent inspections, using data obtained from blueprints, customer specifications, and procurement text.
  • Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective actions.
  • Must keep work area clean at all times. 
  • Use Discuss software to complete inspection reports.
  • Stay on top of calibration logs and anything to keep up with ISO certification.
Requirements:
  • You must have at least 3 years of experience doing dimensional tolerance inspection of Aerospace products.
  • Must have the ability to read blueprints, interpret work instructions, experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is a plus, but not required.
  • ISO experience is preferred.
  • Discuss software knowledge is a HUGE plus. This is something that will need to be used daily, but is something we can train on if needed.
  • Keyence CMM experiences a plus but is not required to start. Will need to learn it to complete some inspections.
  • Must work well with others.
  • You must have outstanding punctuality and attendance.
  • You must be able to work Monday - Friday first shift plus overtime as needed.
Job Type: Full-time.
Salary: DOE.
Experience: 
  • Dimensional Quality Inspection: 3 years (Required).
Education: 
  • High school or equivalent preferred but not required.
Work Location: 40th street and Broadway.
Pay Frequency: Weekly.
