Overview:
Kennicott Brothers is seeking a strategic Financial Executive/CFO to join our leadership team and lead our financial strategies and operations. The Financial Executive will play a critical role in guiding our company through mergers and acquisitions, optimizing asset utilization, and exploring diversification opportunities. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a progressive and robust background in finance, corporate development or similar operations and a proven track record of leading high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
· Mergers and Acquisitions: Lead and execute all phases of M&A activities from due diligence to integration, ensuring alignment with long-term strategic goals.
· Asset Utilization: Create strategies to maximize the returns of company assets, which include cash investments, 15 buildings and a fleet of 100 vehicles.
· Diversification: Identify and evaluate opportunities for diversification to enhance revenue streams and reduce risks associated with market fluctuations of the floral industry.
· Strategic Vision and Leadership: Provide financial leadership and strategic recommendations to the President, members of the leadership team, and board of directors.
· Problem Solving and Decision Making: Assist the President and the Leadership in creating solutions for current issues and provide strategic insight to anticipate future situations.
· Management and Operations: Oversee all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities of the company, in conjunction with the board of directors.
· Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): Lead and develop comprehensive financial models and forecasts, providing insightful analysis to support decision-making process.
· Communication and Reporting: Communicate financial metrics effectively. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results and forecasts.
Qualifications:
· Educational Background: MBA in Finance or equivalent advanced degree
· Professional Experience: Progressive experience in a senior financial managerial position, corporate development, or similar area, demonstrating a successful track record in mergers and acquisitions, strategic financial planning and operations.
· Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage finance, accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting.
· Leadership Abilities: Strong leadership skills, capable of driving change, encouraging team growth, and leading through challenges.
· Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
· Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to present and discuss financial information in a clear and concise manner.
· Decision-Making: Proven decision-making experience with a balance of risk and strategic agility.
· Strategic Vision: Ability to think strategically and execute tactically to achieve financial goals.
· Data Analysis: Strong understanding of data analysis and forecasting tools with the ability to interpret vast amounts of data and to multi-task.
Additional Skills:
· Experience with enterprise-level financial management software.
· Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in relevant industries.
· Ability to adapt to new technologies and business environments.
