Buchanan & Edwards is seeking a skilled Senior Security Business Analyst, A-ISSO. This position will work directly with an ISSO to ensure all products under the Center for Analytics portfolio are secure and compliant.

Location: Springfield/Lorton, VA

Minimum Clearance: Interim Secret

Work Schedule: 2 days onsite, 3 days remote with the ability to shift based on customer needs

Key Responsibilities

• Experience with technical writing and technical system diagrams and documentation
• Operational support for information security tool alerts, triaging, and maintenance
• Assess security controls and evaluate the security posture of organizational internal controls in pursuit of and compliance with a system Authority to Operate
• Use technical feedback to address Authority to Operate questions within the Department’s Governance, Risk, and Compliance tool (Archangel)
• Liaise between developers and the security team to provide security updates and needed technical information
• Develop Security Impact Analysis documents
• Develop Firewall Access Board packages
• Track approved system documentation in a centralized location
• Experience with the overall ATO process and requirements
• Maintain confidentiality on all sensitive security matters

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT Security or related field or equivalent experience

• Knowledge of and ability to research Federal security requirements and guidance (FIPS, NIST, DISA STIGS)
• Knowledge of information security concepts
• General information technology and computer networking knowledge
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Strong ability to research technical challenges and learn quickly to provide security guidance
• Ability to conduct research and analyze results
• Work directly with customers to research, troubleshoot, and resolve security and business process issues in a timely manner
• Participate in project / agile planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and technical team members to analyze business requirements and identify security impacts
• Demonstrated ability of analytical expertise, close attention to detail, critical thinking, logic, and solution-oriented
