Description
Relocation Specialists manage all aspects of the relocation process for new hires and transferring employees of our clients. This role works with the client, transferee, and their families to alleviate stress of relocating to an unfamiliar area by coordinating with outside vendors to help provide benefits being offered such as Realtors for both home sale and home purchase, title companies, movers, temporary housing and lenders.
Essential Functions
  • Contact transferees, both domestic and international, on the relocation benefits being offered based on their relocation policy within one day of being assigned.
  • Assess the transferees needs to initiate the appropriate services during the counseling call.
  • Enter relocation related data such as emails, documents, client communications and any other communication pertinent to the transferee and their relocation into the relocation database software system as it occurs to keep files current.
  • Communicate with the client, transferee and other service providers to track progress, discuss exceptions, and provide updates on the relocation as required by each client.
  • Assist with the management of the home sale process (Buyer Value Option, Guaranteed Buy Out and direct reimbursement) by reviewing Broker Market Analysis (BMA), appraisals, updates, and inspections and resulting repairs with the transferee, assist with negotiations, execute contracts for home sale participants, prepare the SCRS purchase agreement, and order and process final equity.
  • Review and explain home sale/purchase contracts.
  • Ensure home sales process followed is in accordance with IRS guidelines and client policies.
  • Provide professional real estate representation by researching Realtors, processing Employee Relocation Council (ERC)-BMA orders, making buyer referrals, reviewing listing agreements, contracts and purchase agreements.
  • Manage temporary housing process by sourcing options, securing units, and monitoring vacate dates based on the relocation benefits offered and the transferee's moving schedule.
  • Order and process lump sum and payments and order household goods shipments as included in the client relocation policies
  • Serve as back-up for other team members as needed.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of real estate or relocation services is necessary
  • Real estate salesperson license highly preferred
  • Customer service skills to handle stressful situations, service delays, and transferee and client expectations
  • Data entry skills to maintain accurate and current transferee files
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams
  • Situational awareness to manage the stress of transferees moving, service issues by services partners and requirements of clients
  • Ability to anticipate issues that may arise due to a transferee's circumstances and develop recommendations to mitigate and resolve the issue
  • Conflict resolution skills between clients and transferees and service partners
  • Phone and written communication skills to transferees, clients, and other service providers
  • Ability to advocate for transferees when appropriate during the relocation process within the guidelines of their relocation policies
  • Ability to protect PII (Personally Identifiable Information) of clients and transferees
