Mod Pac is Hiring a Material Handler Printing Near Buffalo, NY
The Material Handler position is responsible for the delivery of materials and supplies to various production machines within the department, and cross-training on those machines to increase departmental efficiency and employee skill levels.
- Stage and move materials in coordination with the machine schedules
- Bringing raw materials to the machines
- Make deliveries of finished product to the next operation
- Process any extra stock material, whether for future live jobs or scrap/layerboard. See Supervisor for direction.
- Take empty pallets to their proper locations for re-use
- Take process waste to the recycling area
- Change out scrap bins as required
- Recycle plastic/metal banding from sheet stock skids by using band cutter.
- Aerate and jogging skids of paper as required
- Cut paper stock to size using the straight cutter when required
- Safely operate electric powered pallet mover
- At the discretion of the direct Supervisor, cross-train in surrounding departments to help address absences due to illness and vacations.
- Safe operation of the jogger/aerator Machine
- Perform any additionally assigned duties as requested
