Overview: ABA Solutions, Inc. is seeking a motivated individual to assist full time in a fast-paced office setting. The Authorization Specialist will be responsible for assisting with obtaining intake paperwork from new clients, detailed data entry, and general office tasks such as answering phones. Applicant must have at least two years of experience in the medical/behavioral health field, have experience working in Microsoft Word and Excel, be a fast learner, be detail oriented, and be reliable.

Duties:

• Obtaining intake paperwork from new clients
• Detailed data entry related to intake and authorization requests
• Maintaining tracking spreadsheets
• Following up with physician offices for documentation needed
• Contacting insurance companies to verify benefits/obtain authorizations
• Maintain confidentiality according to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must have two years of experience in the medical/behavioral health field
• Must have exceptional phone skills/etiquette
• Must have experience with general office skills: Filing, working collaboratively with other office personnel
• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially Microsoft Excel
• Can learn quickly under the direction of the Office Administrator/Office Manager
• Must have excellent skills related to attention to detail, organization, and multi-tasking
• Must be reliable and able to work consistently

Hours:

• 40 hours per week during business hours
