Job Brief:

We’re looking for a skilled Sewing Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a variety of sewing machines and be able to produce high-quality pillows, futons, and cushions. We’re looking for someone who is reliable and detail-oriented, and who takes pride in their work.

Sewing Machine Operator Duties:

• Operate a sewing machine and related equipment to sew, stitch, or tack material together
• Fit parts together using measuring and marking equipment
• Place materials on and load completed items on sewing line
• Sew buttons, snaps, and other fasteners onto clothing

Sewing Machine Operator Responsibilities:

• Operate, clean, and maintain sewing machine
• Work with maintenance and production scheduling departments to repair and maintain the machines
• Assist in warehouse activities, including proper labeling, inventory counts, packing, and shipping
• Assist in the assembly, cutting, and kitting of production products

Requirements And Skills:

• Proven ability to operate a sewing machine
• Ability to operate other common office machines
• Knowledge of fabrics, patterns, and clothing construction
• Ability to read basic Blueprints and understand spatial relationships
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Ability to use blue prints and math skills
