JOB SUMMARY

The Engineering Support Specialist performs essential functions within the Engineering team, leveraging organizational and operational expertise to assist the Engineering Team. They centralize the management of key performance indicators and are tasked with organizational and operational data management, as well as report generation. Through the application of specialized knowledge, they often set and achieve daily operational objectives, occasionally impacting others within the area. They explain facts, practices, and policies primarily to internal stakeholders.

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES - Essential Functions (Other duties and projects may be assigned or requested.)

  • Manage engineering purchases, associated budgets, and interactions with supply chain
  • Oversee the Vendor Notice of Change (NOC) process
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements through document and data management
  • Complete data and information requests from internal customers
  • Manage engineering metrics and communicate them to the wider organization
  • Submit engineering data through Supplier Data Transfer (SDT) systems
  • Review and transfer documents and data within the Product Lifecyle Management (PLM) system
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for engineering processes and systems
  • Interact with ERP system and investigate associated change management issues
  • Maintain demand, supply, and capacity management systems
  • Assist in printing data packages (e.g., drawings, certifications, FAI reports)
  • Analyze data and prepare information for presentations and reports
  • Work independently and collaborate within all organizational levels
  • Maintain a proper filing system and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
  • Associates Degree or equivalent professional experience is required

Experience:

  • 3 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

Knowledge:

  • Aerospace standards, protocols, and regulatory requirements
  • ISO9001 and AS9100 Business Management Systems
  • Strong understanding of engineering processes and systems

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software applications
  • Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
  • Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
  • Knowledge of change management principles and practices

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Experience with Engineering Data Management
  • Proficiency in Data Entry and Analysis
  • Familiarity with Business Management Systems (BMS)
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS)

Other:

  • Extended or irregular hours may be required
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

SUPERVISION PROVIDED TO THE POSITION

  • Direction is provided for assignments in terms of desired outcome (goals), timing and budget. Work is reviewed or measured in terms of meeting organizational objectives and schedules.

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITY

  • Assists with coordination of adherence to organizational goals, operating policies, and budgetary guidelines

PROBLEM SOLVING

  • Develop and provide solutions to complex problems based on established precedents and are consistent with organization objectives.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Salary Range Transparency: $67,000 - $75,000 annually, depending on candidate qualifications
