Data Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data & Analytics Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data analysis, strategic planning, and business acumen. As a Data & Analytics Consultant, you will be responsible for advising our federal clients on how to leverage data effectively to achieve their business objectives, optimize processes, and drive transformational growth. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven strategies, provide insights, and recommend solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Data Strategist: Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Data Strategist Responsibilities Include:

  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Conduct in-depth analysis of client data to identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to their goals.
  • Strategy & Planning: Develop data-driven strategies and roadmaps to address client objectives, enhance decision-making processes, and drive performance.
  • Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering expert guidance on data strategy, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Solution Recommendation: Recommend innovative solutions and methodologies to optimize data collection, storage, analysis, and visualization.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including data scientists, architects, and business analysts, to implement data strategies and deliver actionable insights.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish relevant key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of strategies and initiatives.
  • Training and Education: Provide training sessions and workshops to educate clients and internal stakeholders on data strategy principles, tools, and techniques.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements in data analytics, and regulatory requirements to ensure strategies remain relevant and compliant.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Data Strategist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5 years) working as a Data Strategist, Data Analyst, or in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Azure, R and Python.
  • Strong understanding of statistical methods, machine learning techniques, and data visualization.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, solve problems, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior public sector (federal government) consulting experience is required.
  • Past applicable job experience may include, but is not limited to: Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or Data Scientist.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
