Freedom Technology Solutions Group is Hiring a Geospatial Engineer Near St. Louis, MO

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a talented and motivated ESRI Geospatial Engineer in the (St. Louis, MO or the Washington-Maryland Area) to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in leveraging their expertise in geographic information systems (GIS) technology to configure solutions, implement workflows, create and provision data content, and provide user support to ESRI customers. This role may involve desk-side support for mission analysts and participation in larger project teams dedicated to the conception, construction, implementation, and testing of GIS databases, applications, and production systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Configure GIS solutions to meet project requirements
  • Implement and optimize GIS workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Create, manage, and provision data content for GIS applications
  • Provide desk-side support to mission analysts utilizing GIS technology
  • Collaborate with project teams to support the development, implementation, and testing of GIS databases, applications, and production systems
  • Support GIS/Data Science activities, including the development of data ingestion workflows, schema development, and GIS analysis
  • Test enhancements and ensure the quality and reliability of GIS solutions
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in GIS technology

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 8 year’s of proven experience in configuring GIS solutions and implementing workflows
  • Strong understanding of GIS databases, applications, and production systems
  • Proficiency in GIS tools, particularly ESRI products
  • Experience providing user support and desk-side assistance to mission analysts
  • Solid understanding of GIS/Data Science principles, including data ingestion workflows and schema development

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Experience in participating in larger project teams for GIS development and implementation
  • Familiarity with GIS analysis techniques
  • Knowledge of data science principles and their application in GIS
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
