We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Geospatial Engineer.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As the Geospatial Engineer, responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:

  • Responsible for executing current geospatial production work and new product development activities as assigned by the Geospatial Lead.
  • Develops and recommends geospatial engineering policies and workflows consistent with company objectives, including, but not limited to, new product testing procedures, process improvements, and data analysis.
  • Coordinates with the Geospatial Lead and program management for integration, testing, documentation, training, and fielding of geospatial data and products in support of the program.
  • Coordinates with stakeholders to resolve technical issues, manage geospatial requirements with the program statement of work, and mitigate risks.
  • Communicates with company personnel on projects, priorities, timetables and budgets as required.
  • Supports the Geospatial Lead to resolve operational and integration issues.
  • Interacts with customers and/or vendors.
  • Domestic and International travel to Military Installations in support of Program activities may be required.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Detailed knowledge and experience with the terrain generation process of the JLCCTC program, or equivalent experience from the Synthetic Environment Core program, from GIS source data collection & standardization to map & Constructive product generation.
  • A./B.S. in Geography, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with a focus on GIS.
  • Proficient in ESRI software and tool suites including ArcGIS Pro and ArcCatalog/Map. Additional experience with other programs like Global Mapper and ASTT recommended.
  • Geospatial product development experience collaborating across multiple engineering disciplines and simultaneously delivering multiple correlated database products.
  • Expertise in geospatial systems design, build, integration, verification, validation, with an emphasis on validation by government agencies.
  • Experience defining geospatial technical strategies and execution.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Highly proficient written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Holds a current minimum DOD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Position level is related to candidate experience:
    • Associate: One (1) to Three (3) years of design, building, and delivery of constructive geospatial databases and associated products.
    • Intermediate: Three (3) to Five (5) years of design, building, and delivery of constructive geospatial databases and associated products.
    • Senior: Minimum of Eight (8) years of design, building, and delivery of constructive geospatial databases and associated products.
