Paxful is Hiring a Senior Manager, Information Security Near Metropolitan Area, NY
PAXFUL is in need of a Senior Manager, Information Security. In this role, you will play a crucial role in our cybersecurity efforts, providing incident management and response, performing root cause analysis, and detecting, responding to, and remediating cyber threats. This role involves a blend of technical acumen, analytical skills, and a proactive mindset to safeguard our digital environment
You will analyze our databases and other information applications to identify potential security risks and determine how to best address these threats. The ideal candidate must understand regulatory requirements, has in-depth knowledge of industry standards and trends, and is proficient with the latest cybersecurity software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Incident Management: Lead and provide incident response for cyber incidents and technical outages, ensuring quick recovery and minimal impact.
- Threat Detection and Remediation: Actively monitor for and neutralize cyber threats, participating in both vulnerability assessments and the remediation efforts. Will serve as Philippines IT’s 1st line of escalation
- Security Solutions Deployment: Support the deployment, integration, and configuration of new security solutions, particularly in cloud environments.
- Compliance and Best Practices: Offer expertise on CIS Controls assessment and implementation, guiding the company towards best security practices.
- Industry Awareness: Stay informed about the latest information security news, bulletins, and developments to anticipate and counteract emerging cyber threats.
- Documentation: Write and update process and technical procedure documentation to enhance our security framework.
- Education and Guidance: Provide user education and guidance to improve the overall security awareness and posture of the organization
- Escalation: Will serve as Philippines IT’s 1st line of escalation
QUALIFICATION:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in information security, including 2 years in general IT and 2 years in a focused cybersecurity role.
- Required Certifications: CISSP, Security , CISA or equivalent
- Working for a Cryptocurrency/blockchain company is a plus
- Strong technical skills with firewalls, vulnerability management systems, and proficiency in documentation and user education
- Knowledge of security protocols and standards
- Experience with Windows MDM and Mac MDM, as well as familiarity with cloud services (AWS), Kibana, Artifactory and DNS
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
