Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Location: Greeley, CO
Pay: Starts at $22/hour - paid on experience
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on heavy-duty trucks and equipment. Responsibilities include working on HVAC systems, engine work, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, and conducting DOT inspections. While welding and fabrication experience are beneficial, they are not mandatory, as we provide on-the-job training and guidance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
- Work on HVAC systems, engine work, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, and other mechanical components.
- Conduct DOT inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed (training provided if necessary).
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, and cooling systems.
- DOT inspection certification (preferred but not mandatory).
- Welding and fabrication experience (beneficial but not mandatory).
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
