About the Role
The Company is seeking a Deputy Chief Information Officer (DCIO) to provide strategic leadership and oversight of a diverse technology portfolio. The DCIO will manage high-performing teams, including finance, administration, learning, and identity services, and will lead the initial stages of complex technology initiatives. Collaboration across the institution is key, as is the championing of technology initiatives and the promotion of a culture of innovation and technical professional development.Ideal candidates for the DCIO position at The Company will have at least 7 years of related experience, including managing large enterprise technology teams, and a proven track record of transformative impact within a complex organization. Experience in higher education settings is preferred, with knowledge of the unique requirements of a major research university. The role requires a leader with excellent communication skills, the ability to build relationships and influence, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a Master's degree preferred, and professional certifications such as PMP are a plus. The DCIO will also be responsible for ensuring the security and compliance of technology systems, staying abreast of emerging technologies, and representing the CIO on various committees and initiatives.
