This is a full-time role, based in our Dallas Office at the Link: 2601 Olive Street, Dallas, TX. 

About This Role at Momentum

As Head of Corporate Development on our team at Momentum, your days will be dynamic and filled with opportunities to contribute to our mission. Here's a glimpse into what your overall responsibilities might look like:

  • Lead the development and implementation of the corporate development strategy, including identifying potential acquisition targets, evaluating opportunities, and executing transactions to drive growth and enhance shareholder value.
  • Work closely with Momentum's executive team and leadership to align corporate development activities with the company's overall strategic vision and goals.
  • Lead all aspects of the deal process, including deal structuring, financial analysis, due diligence, negotiation, and transaction execution. 
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, operations, and senior leadership, to ensure alignment of corporate development initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships and alliances that complement our business objectives and enhance our competitive position in the market.
  • Provide ongoing support and strategic guidance to portfolio companies, including evaluating opportunities for synergies, operational improvements, and strategic exits.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and market opportunities to inform corporate development strategies and identify potential targets for acquisition or partnership.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing corporate development team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Possesses 12 years of relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrates a proven track record of success in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or related fields, with a proven track record of leading successful M&A transactions.
  • Has a demonstrated history of finding new solutions to challenges by leveraging creativity and critical thinking.
  • Has strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex financial models, perform valuation analysis, and evaluate deal economics.
  • Possesses exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Displays empathy and flexibility. 
  • Has demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals in a fast-paced environment.
  • Is a strategic thinker with a proactive and results-oriented mindset, capable of driving initiatives from conception to execution.
  • Is passionate in all things M&A along with building and sustaining successful businesses and making a positive impact.
  • Can handle multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment, navigating ambiguity and remaining agile.

The base salary range for this position may vary based on location. Actual compensation will be determined by role, level, and location, considering additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. For roles eligible for remote work, the base salary is tailored to the designated work location. In addition to the base salary, candidates may be eligible to receive a discretionary annual bonus, determined based on both the company's business performance and individual contributions. The People & Culture team will provide specific details during the hiring process.
