Spark Packaging is Hiring a Maintenance and Engineering Manager Near Fulton, NY
Job Description
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all equipment and systems via Preventative/Predictive Maintenance program and Computerized Maintenance Management System.
- Lead the maintenance and engineering team in the execution of maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and availability of the facility and equipment by instituting practices that will improve facility and reduce cost.
- Develop and implement engineering projects that improve the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the facility and equipment.
- Manage the maintenance and engineering budget and ensure that expenditures are within budgetary limits.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure that maintenance and engineering services are delivered on time and within budget.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to maintenance and engineering.
- Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the maintenance and engineering team.
- Develop and implement training programs for the maintenance and engineering team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Manage all engineering resources, capital project installations, process improvement projects.
- Maintain all production equipment. Institute adequate maintenance practices to assure that production can meet production requirements.
- Develop and recommend process improvements. Reduce cost of plant by improvement efforts.
- Maintain building and grounds and facilities equipment (chillers, air compressor, etc.).
- Make improvement necessary to improve production equipment reliability through better use of resources.
- Engineer improvement to reduce costs and make facility a long term success.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- B.S. Engineering degree.
- 5-10 years maintenance management work experience.
- 3-5 years Implementing a PM and CMMS systems (Mainsaver).
- 1-3 years Continuous Improvement experience (Lean/Six Sigma experience).
- Experience with Computer-aided drafting (AutoCAD).
