Description
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
•Overseeing all accounting operations, including A/R, General Ledger, and accruals.
•Supervising the AR team to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, credits, and other documentation.
•Conducting regular internal audits and to verify the accuracy of financial transactions and compliance with established controls and procedures.
•Utilizing project management skills to lead initiatives aimed at improving treasury management process and other accounting systems.
•Developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the accounting department.
•Collaborating with other departments to streamline financial processes and ensure accurate financial reporting.
•Providing daily guidance and support to the accounting team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
•Ensuring compliance with accounting laws, regulations, and standards.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
•A minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role within an accounting department, preferably in the energy industry.
•Proven experience with project management, internal and external audits, GL, A/R, supervising AR, SOP generation, and accruals.
•Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
•Proficiency in using accounting software and other financial management tools.
•A solid understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
EDUCATION DESIRED:
•A bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
