We are currently seeking an experienced Data Management Consultant for a reputable investment banking client in NYC.

This role is hybrid.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review data control results to ensure comprehensive logging and resolution of all data issues.
• Collaborate closely with subject matter experts, data providers, and data consumers to promptly address potential issues.
• Lead discussions with stakeholders, including data providers, data consumers, and technology teams, to identify root causes, document remediation steps, and oversee resolution.
• Apply expertise in data quality dimensions to establish and enforce processes and controls in alignment with guidelines.
• Maintain detailed logs and reports of data issues as required by organizational standards.
• Develop, test, and refine data controls to support new processes and address emerging data control gaps.
• Conduct thorough reviews of reporting materials prior to publication to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Create supportive materials for meetings and audits, providing necessary documentation and insights.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls, identify gaps, and propose recommendations for enhancement.
• Design and document processes to strengthen data quality controls and ensure compliance with governance policies.
• Assist in the adoption and implementation of data governance policies and best practices across the organization.
• Escalate unresolved data issues as needed, ensuring timely resolution and closure.
