Phaxis LLC is Hiring a Mental Health Counselor Near East Hampton, NY
Our organization is seeking a Mental Health Counselor that can provide direct counseling services to patients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides individual counseling and treatment/recovery plan preparation, monitoring and review.
- Provide therapeutic interactions to foster patient’s social, cognitive, and behavioral skill development.
- Provide psychosocial interventions to teach skills for coping with urges, craving, impulsive behavior and cognitive distortions in thinking, motivational interviewing techniques.
- Provide individual, group and family counseling, where appropriate
- Plan and facilitate interactions with patients within the program to build social, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
- Prepare and maintain accurate and thorough case records.
- Maintain relationships with patient referral agencies.
- Complete utilization reviews in a timely manner to ensure continuity of care.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master's degree in social work, mental health (MSW, MHC)
- LMSW or LMHC or limited permit
- Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC), a plus.
- Minimum two years in a behavioral health/substance use disorder treatment program
