EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

BA or BS, A degree in a relevant field such as Business Continuity Management, Disaster Recovery, Information Technology, or Risk Management.

Project Management Skills:

Ability to manage BCDR projects from inception to completion, including planning, implementation, and testing phases.

Skill in coordinating with various teams and departments to ensure alignment and cooperation.

Continuous Learning and Adaptability:

Willingness to stay updated on emerging threats, technologies, and best practices in the BCDR field.

Flexibility to adapt strategies and plans in response to changing business environments or evolving threats.

References and Reputation:

Positive references and a track record of successful BCDR implementations from previous clients or employers.

A reputation for professionalism, reliability, and integrity within the industry.

Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions under pressure.

Education and Training:

A degree in a relevant field such as Business Continuity Management, Disaster Recovery, Information Technology, or Risk Management.

Professional certifications such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Disaster Recovery Engineer (CDRE), or similar.

This position is for a Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planner. The role entails developing a disaster recovery for multiple systems of which some are integrated with other systems and a business continuity plan that covers all aspects of standard business continuity plans. The individual will work with executives, management, and subject matter experts across Panasonic. Qualifications are:

Experience:
At minimum 5 yrs experience with Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans
Proven experience in developing and implementing Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans across multiple industries
Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards such as ISO 22301, NIST SP 800-34, or industry-specific requirements.
Experience in conducting risk assessments, business impact analyses, and continuity exercises.

Technical Skills:
Knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, databases, and cloud services.
Understanding of data backup and recovery technologies.
Proficiency in risk management software and tools.

Communication Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Skill in creating clear and comprehensive documentation for BCDR plans and procedures.
Capability to deliver training and awareness programs to ensure staff readiness.

Analytical Abilities:
Strong analytical skills to assess potential risks and vulnerabilities within the organization.
Capacity to evaluate and prioritize critical business functions and resources.
Capability to develop strategies for minimizing disruption and maintaining continuity during a disaster
