**About the Role**

Wood Mackenzie are looking for enthusiastic, talented and ambitious Sponsorship Sales Manager to continue to further grow and embed our products into existing and new customers.

The role will focus on achieving the sponsorship sales targets whilst ensuring we deliver value for our clients. The sales product suite consists of event sponsorships, podcasts, custom content creation, webinars and other digital programs across multiple Woodmac sectors. This role is instrumental for the achievement of sales targets as well as the effective use of resources to achieve targets. Your client portfolio will include a diverse set of customers in key Wood Mackenzie markets. This is your opportunity to truly partner with the firms critical clients.

**Main Responsibilities**

* Nurture existing client relationships and develop new business relationships (deep and wide) to exceed budget within a territory.

* Act as a Wood Mackenzie ambassador at key industry events and through proactive outreach to further penetrate and grow account base.

* Work with the WM subscription sales team to develop growth strategies across all key regions

* Work with the events and digital media teams to develop and test new products

* Effective pipeline management including accurate forecasting and opportunity management

* Develop an understanding of clients strategic needs and initiatives to build integrated campaigns to help achieve those results.

* Respond to inbound inquiries in a very timely fashion for example media kit inquiries and conference sponsorship requests.

* Manage all aspects of the sales communication and negotiation process for territory.

* Collaborate with entire Digital Media and Events teams acting as the voice of the customer - to develop new products and improve existing products.

* Travel will be required to most Woodmac events (~8 per year), key industry tradeshows, and occasional strategic account visits (once travel restrictions permit.)

**Qualifications**

**About you and how you can excel in the role**

You will:

* Ideally a minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales role focused on event/tradeshow sponsorships, digital media programs, or research.

* Have experience of value-based selling and developing an understanding of customer needs.

* Have a proven track record in collaborating with different internal teams in order to achieve commercial success

* Have a track record of driving revenue growth, exceeding targets and acquiring new clients.

* You are entrepreneurial, driven by business performance and motivated by growth - you love looking for and pursuing new business opportunities, or grow existing accounts

* Be passionate about growing the business and have a genuine interest in developing and growing themselves

* Have an intellectual curiosity and an interest in the energy transition

* Show effective organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage own workload effectively

* Extra points if you have experience in oil & gas, energy, or natural resources.

* Ability to negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profit.

* Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.

* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively & drive innovation
