Nolte, Cornman & Johnson PC is a small firm located in Newton, Iowa. We specialize in governmental audits, particularly for Iowa schools. We are committed to providing quality services to our clients and strive to create a positive work environment for our employees.

Role Description

We are looking for a full-time Auditor to join our team. This is an on-site role located in Newton, IA. The Auditor will be responsible for performing financial audits, preparing audit reports, and providing recommendations for improvement. The Auditor will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other accounting software
  • CPA certification is preferred, but not required
  • Prior experience in governmental auditing is a plus
