The Position

The Campus Operations Coordinator will work under the direction and supervision of the campus principal. This position is responsible for supporting the process of the day-to-day operations at the school site in areas including arrival, lunch, recess, dismissal, and physical space. Furthermore, the Campus Operations Coordinator is also responsible for serving as on-site IT contact, including managing IT assets and assisting staff with IT issues as able.

Fulfill core Operations Specialist responsibilities, including all of the following:

• Supervise and monitor students during key essential systems: arrival, lunch, recess, dismissal, physical space
• Implement all site rules and safety regulations within the structure of the Rocketship student culture
• Utilize appropriate disciplinary procedures and techniques in accordance with the school site discipline plan
• Manage the physical space of the building with the Operations Specialist

• Serve as the “team leader” among the Operations Specialists. This could include responsibilities such as daily oversight, coaching, and/or supervision of safety protocols
• Co-create with the campus principal effective and efficient schoolwide systems (arrival, lunch, recess & dismissal, etc.) that include iAuditor expectations
• Assist the campus principal in fulfilling staff Ops Requests and other procurement needs
• Model and support a strong culture within the the Ops Specialist team
• Collaborate with the campus principal & Regional Operations Manager with designing new processes and procedures to increase efficiency at the school site
• Partner with the Principal to respond to emergencies and create school safety procedures and compliance, including training and running safety drills.
• Design and present professional development to the Operations Specialist and entire campus as needed 
• Manage student transportation services ensuring the safety of students to and from school
• Support the logistical, compliance, and technology side of administration of Rocketship’s assessments, including NWEA MAP and state tests, and health screenings like hearing and vision.
• Serve as on-site IT contact, including managing IT assets and assisting staff with IT issues as able. 

• Intermediate skills with Google Suite and email correspondence
• Commitment to Rocketship’s mission, vision and goals
• Passion for working with children
• Previous experience managing and/or teaching groups of elementary-age students
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and work closely with a wide range of staff members
• Ability to learn laws, rules, practices, and procedures related to public education and specific to Rocketship Public Schools Texas
• Flexibility and willingness to learn 

• Compensarion: $20-$25/hour
• Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
