THIS ROLE WILL REQUIRE YOU TO BE ONSITE AT OUR HQ IN SANTA CRUZ, CA FIVE DAYS/WEEK WHAT DOES YOUR DAY JOB LOOK LIKE Establish and maintain long-lasting relationships with high-contact vendors Negotiate vendor agreements (supply agreements, manufacturing agreements, etc.) Establish and maintain all vendor-related activity in ERP system Manage assigned categories including: ordering, tracking and expediting to ensure on time delivery including global shipments Manage component inventory to support assembly activity in accordance with established stock guidelines Negotiate costs and manage cost accuracy to minimize IPV/PPV Operate and maintain purchasing function in the MRP system Identify potential material shortages and excess material to work with the Product team to find substitutions Manage obsolete inventory WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE Bachelor's degree in business or related field from an accredited university (required) 3-5 years of experience in a high volume production purchasing role (preferably in the bike industry) Excellent negotiation skills Analytical; presents data and leverages it to make business recommendations Organized; ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines without compromising quality Process oriented; understands and follows business processes and procedures with emphasis on transparency Proficient with Excel, Google Suite; SAP, Inventory Management & Financial acumen Prioritizes effectively and balances both tactical/transactional and high impact activities Self-motivated, highly communicative, collaborative, imaginative and strong diplomacy skills High technical aptitude Ability to travel based upon business needs, including projects and assignments LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend and explain documents in English. Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, in English. SALARY RANGE: This compensation package will be dependent on experience, qualifications, industry experience and the interview with a potential range of $70,000 - $80,000.
