Who are we? Rex at the Royal is a Southern-inspired, hospitality driven, restaurant, bar, and bottle shop with retail and event space. Our home is in Philly’s Royal Theater, whose legacy we aim to preserve and whose role as a community anchor, partner, and gathering spot we strive to emulate.

We are a woman-owned hospitality group that includes 4 distinct restaurants. Each of them seeks to increase neighborhood vitality through a friendly presence and hub for gathering. Our restaurants are diverse and wholly inclusive, in keeping with our mission to be a positive force supporting community, hospitality, conviviality, and philanthropy.
Requirements

    • 1 year of experience cooking on the line in a high volume, from scratch kitchen
    • Broad knowledge of cooking techniques and principles and a desire to learn
    • Full weekend availability is required, must be able to open and close stations regularly
    • Excellent ability to multitask and communicate
    • Must be able to lift 50lbs on occasion

Responsibilities

    • Maintain a clean and organized station
    • Maintain high standards in consistency and execution of dishes
    • Follow health department regulations and best hygienic practices
    • Must be able to take feedback well and contribute positively to the team, both BOH and FOH
