Job Description

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach Dental Assisting in our diploma program. This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Program Director. The primary responsibility will be to teach Dental Assisting courses. The typical teaching load is 2 courses each term, with 2 class preparations. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, assist the program director and participate in department training, meetings, and graduation.

Requirements

• Diploma/Certificate of Completion in Dental Assisting
• RDA, CDA or EFDA is preferred
• At least three years of experience in the field of Dental Assisting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized, motivated and results driven
• Prior teaching experience preferred

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Dental assisting: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Registered Dental Assistant (Required)
• Certified Dental Assistant (Required)
• EFDA Certification (Preferred)
