Downtown Women's Center is Hiring a Remote Clinical Supervisor - LCSW, LMFT (Part-Time)

Summary
DWC seeks a part-time (12-16 hours per week) Clinical Supervisor, to provide clinical oversight and supervision to 3 unlicensed clinicians working within DWC’s Trauma Recovery Center. This position will train and model crisis intervention skills and provide clinical guidance to a multi-disciplinary team. An ideal candidate will lead, inspire, and motivate a team of professionals whose primary goal is to provide holistic, trauma-informed care to women in the Skid Row community. This position will foster a strengths-based culture in treatment planning and service delivery. This position is a member of the Clinical Department and will report directly to the Clinical Program Manager.
Essential Functions
  • Provide weekly individual supervision to 3 unlicensed clinicians (ACSW, AMFT, APCC)
  • Provide weekly group supervision for BBS-registered clinicians accruing hours towards licensure
  • Completion of 15- Hour Clinical Supervision Training, as required by BBS to provide clinical supervision to unlicensed clinicians
  • Provide oversight of clinical documentation for supervisees, including review and approval of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other client documents as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, staff and local service providers
  • Assist staff with crisis intervention and model de-escalation techniques as needed.
  • Fulfill mandated reporting obligations and complete required documentation in a timely manner
  • Participate in and facilitate internal and external meetings
  • Serve as an ambassador of DWC and its mission and values by participating in community meetings/collaboratives/events.
  • Collect and report on program data and progress as requested.
  • Provide regular, written reports to the Clinical Program Manager and additional reports as assigned.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal confidentiality laws and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the mission of the organization

Supervisory Responsibility
This position provides clinical supervision to 3 unlicensed clinicians (AMFT, ACSW, APCC). This position does not have direct reports.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work to be determined in consultation with Clinical Program Manager.
Travel
Regular travel throughout Los Angeles County is required in this position.
Remote
Option for hybrid work schedule, but with expectation to be able to work onsite full time as scheduled.
Required Education and Experience
  • LCSW or LMFT with two years post-licensure and in good standing with the BBS required
  • Clinical supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience working in community mental health preferred
  • Strong understanding of the complexity of poverty and women’s homelessness, mental illness, trauma, substance abuse, and health issues; knowledge of relevant Evidence-Based Practices (Trauma-Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction) required
  • Crisis intervention experience, and familiarity and comfort working with issues related to homelessness, substance abuse, mental health diagnosis, and history of trauma required
  • Oral and written fluency in English required; Spanish a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required
Required Knowledge/Skills/Position Qualifications
  • Knowledge and training in EBPs (i.e. CBT, DBT, Seeking Safety, Motivational Interviewing)
  • Knowledge and experience with clinical assessment, treatment planning, and DSM-V diagnoses
  • Excellent active listening and crisis intervention skills with ability to exercise and model good judgment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; proven ability to communicate with diverse audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, including proficiency in balancing direct service responsibilities with effective leadership and record-keeping
  • Able to solve problems by being resourceful and using creativity
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks and priorities, and set and meet goals and deadlines
  • Strong administrative skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required
  • Cultural humility.
  • Must be a CA resident and live no more than 80 miles from DWC; must be available for in-person meetings at DWC.
  • Must have a valid California driver’s license with proof of active insurance and good driving record.
  • Must provide documentation of a negative TB test result within the last twelve months, on first day of hire.
  • You will be required to be up to date on your vaccinations against COVID-19 and provide documentation. If you are fully vaccinated and not yet eligible to receive a booster dose, then you must receive the booster dose within 30 days of becoming eligible and eligibility begins 5 months after receiving the final primary dose. If you are fully vaccinated and have received a booster dose, you are considered up to date with your vaccinations. Unvaccinated individuals must receive their 1st dose before their first day of hire. Partially vaccinated (for 2-dose series) individuals must receive their 2nd dose within 30 days of being hired. The second dose of a two-dose vaccine series is due 4 weeks after the primary dose.

Pay Range
$35.09 - $35.53 per hour
