The Pittsburg State University School of Construction is accepting applications for a part-time, temporary Adjunct Lecturer to teach Interior Design. 

The School of Construction is looking individuals with a wide range of skills with both direct trade experience, as well as, construction management experience. Areas of interest are management, concrete, contracts, supervision, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc. At least 5 years of work experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Confer with students outside of class as needed.
• Evaluate and assess student performance.
• Create appropriate evaluations and examinations.
• The ability to keep accurate records. 
• The ability to work with students.
• Collaborate with other faculty members.

Education and Experience

Required Education and Experience – Time of Hire

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related area.
• 5 years of work experience related to the construction industry.

Preferred Education and Experience – 

• Master’s degree
• 10 years of work experience in the construction industry. 

Job Type: Unclassified, Faculty, Non-Tenure Earning, Renewable each semester based on needs of the School.

Appointment Duration: One semester
