Pregnancy Care Center of Grants Pass provides medical services, education and resources that give value to human life, while offering hope and restoration. Established in 1988, the PCC operates as a trusted, community funded, faith-based, non-profit, accredited medical clinic in southern Oregon. Services are provided free of charge to all, regardless of age, gender, marital status, race, sexual orientation, disability, or religious belief.

Objectives of the position: The Patient Care and Outreach Assistant is responsible for providing patient care and daily oversight at the Cave Junction Center, as well as conducting outreach activities representing the organization to the community, supporters, and others located in Cave Junction. 

Qualifications:

• Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
• Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to the pro-life position and sexual purity.
• Be dependable, stable, and capable of following through on commitments.
• Agree with and be willing to uphold the Statement of Values and policies of the center.
• Maintain confidentiality of all corporate, financial, and patient/client information.
• Be able to carry out responsibilities with little or no supervision.
• Adhere to policies regarding TB testing and Hepatitis B vaccination.
• Maintain CPR certification.
• Must have reliable transportation, auto insurance, and to travel to Grants Pass Center during training.

Responsibilities:

Patient Care 

• Greet patients in a timely manner; ensure all paperwork is completed by patient/client prior to being seen
• Provide crisis intervention support for each patient in an atmosphere of warmth and compassion 
• Coordinate the self-administered urine pregnancy test (UPT) process
• Provide accurate information on parenting, abortion, and adoption
• Offer support and recommendations appropriate to a patient’s situation, being aware of community resources
• Follow up with patients and carry out communications via phone as needed
• Follow appropriate charting methods after meeting with patient
• Prepare and maintain patient clinical records at Cave Junction Center
• On occasion, assist with patient care and other medical department duties at the Grants Pass Center

Public Relations/Community Outreach

• Work closely with the Development Director to promote awareness of PCC mission while building and nurturing community partnerships including:

a) Participate in fundraising events, including events at churches in and around Cave Junction, and in meetings with other organizations to promote organizational programs

b) Meet with the public as needed, conducting Cave Junction center tours

c) Examine opportunities for partnerships and alliances with community organizations 

• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key contacts within the community
• Coordinate efforts to ensure that an established list of community locations around Cave Junction have updated/current versions of promotional materials 

Pathways Program Administration (when facilitating Pathways remote group classes)

• Facilitate Pathways remote group classes via live video feed from classes taking place in Grants Pass, supporting Pathways Coordinator and fostering relationships with the clients
• Maintain communication with Pathways Coordinator on program updates, status of volunteers, and any client issues
• Assist with Pathways/Baby Boutique non-monetary donations

 Center Administration

• Responsible for day-to-day oversight of Cave Junction Center including managing and delegating appropriate tasks to volunteers.
• Maintain a professional and neat facility at all times.
• Ensure all aspects of the front office at the Cave Junction Center are in compliance with the standards set forth by the organization pertaining to quality care and service.
• Maintain communication with Office Manager on updates for all Cave Junction center issues and provide updates as needed on center activities and progress.
• Attend regular and special staff meetings and trainings. If unavailable to attend a meeting, read meeting minutes.
• Conduct data entry and filing as needed.
