The Association of Test Preparation, Admissions, and Private Tutoring is seeking a motivated and engaging senior tutor for regular weekly assignments with students in grades 9-12 in the Houston area.

Company: TPAPT Chapter, Houston

Tests: SAT, ACT

Classification: Contract

Compensation: $60-$70/hr

Experience: SAT or ACT test expert, experience tutoring or teaching all sections of the test

The Position:

• Provide in-person tutoring to students preparing for the SAT admissions test
• Tutoring assignments are typically 60 minutes
• Tutoring assignments will be regular and reliable
• Tutoring sessions are generally scheduled between 2PM and 8PM CST during the week and between 10am - 4pm on weekend days

Requirements:

• 6-12 hours per week of availability 
• An earned Bachelor's Degree from a competitive US 4 year degree granting college or university
• Exceptionally clear and effective communication skills
• Scores at or above the 85th percentile on the SAT
• Demonstrable past experience tutoring or teaching all sections of the SAT
• A car and the willingness and ability to commute to client homes
• A passion for helping others learn

Compensation:

• $60-$70 /hr commensurate
