The Association of Test Preparation, Admissions, and Private Tutoring (TPAPT) is seeking dynamic face-to-face secondary teachers and tutors with a passion for supporting students in math (grades 6-12) in the Forsyth County area. 

In this role, you will partner with long-term subs and teachers in a classroom setting at a local school or community center. 

The Position:

• Provide instructional support in Math 12 -35 hours per week
• Instruction takes place at a local school during school hours
• The position is classified as part-time employment (W2)
• Training is provided 

Responsibilities

• Know academic standards, grade level, course content, and best instructional practices within secondary math or science.
• Prepare lessons and provide whole group and differentiated small group instruction.
• Respond to student questions in a positive and supportive manner, providing as detailed instructions as needed.
• Work with the students to set and maintain progress goals.
• Participate in relevant professional development and professional learning communities.
• Submit records related to attendance, student progress, and other administrative program requirements record keeping..
• Support with all assigned duties, including lunch, hallway, bus, and other activities when needed.
• Co-plan with assigned teachers and grade-level teams.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience

As a successful applicant, you must have a passion for helping students succeed. Additionally, you will need to have the following:

• Hold a bachelor’s degree
• Two years experience providing small and large group instruction in either secondary math or science.
• Be local to the area
