Sales Associate – Part Time

This is a part-time, home office position where organization, excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and personal diligence are necessary. We’re looking for 20 hours a week between the hours of 8am-4pm, Monday – Friday. You’ll be working with existing customers, providing quotes for our Access Doors, Panels and Viewports and helping to answer questions about pricing, lead times and product details. 

Job Duties:  

· Answer customer questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and terms of sale.

· Provide quotes for existing customers.

· Keep a log of open quotes and provide feedback when requested. 

· Proof and review orders created by team members.

· Attend weekly Sales and Production meetings using Microsoft Teams and provide feedback as requested. 

· Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints expediently and professionally from customers, vendors, employees, and other business partners. 

· Edits orders received for price and nomenclature.

Typical Functions:

· Prepares order form, or enters data into computer, to determine total cost for customer.

· May attempt to sell additional merchandise to customer.

· May confer with production, sales, shipping, warehouse, or common carrier personnel to expedite or trace missing or delayed shipments.

· May check inventory control and notify purchasing of orders that would deplete stock.

· May initiate purchase requisitions.

· May compute price, discount, sales representative's commission, and shipping charges.

· May prepare invoices and shipping documents, such as bill of lading.

· May compile statistics and prepare various reports for management.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred associate’s degree in Business Administration or Business Management.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach.

· Proficiency in data entry and computer systems; experience with order processing software is a plus.

· Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment. 

· Commitment to Excellence.

· Able to communicate clearly and concisely both written and verbally. 

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products – Especially in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

· Attention to detail and accuracy in order processing and record keeping.

· Knowledge of inventory control procedures and purchasing processes preferred. 

· Familiarity with shipping and logistics processes is beneficial.
