About Us: Leadership Academy of Utah (LAU) is an online charter school serving students across the state of Utah. The LAU office is located in Clearfield, Utah.

About the Position: The LAU Assessment Director supports LAU and our students with statewide student assessments. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in our Clearfield, Utah office. This position has a 50% employee agreement, with 20 hours per week. For Utah licensed educators, annual pay ranges between $31,255 - $32,505. For candidates who are not Utah educators, pay ranges between $23,519 - $24,460. LAU is not part of the Utah State Retirement System.

This position will have days required July 2024 for onboarding, required state training, etc. August 6, 2024 is the academic year start date for this position.

This position is responsible for successfully performing the following essential functions with a high level of competency:

Prepare for Statewide Student Assessments: The Assessment Director attends state trainings as needed, follows state testing-related protocols, creates an annual testing schedule for Statewide Student Assessments, secures locations and staffing, coordinates ordering, distribution, inventory, collection, and scoring of testing materials, trains staff, communicates with families, handles accommodations, and serves as a resource to school administrative staff on assessment plan implementation.

Oversee and Administer Statewide Student Assessments: The Assessment Director will support staff and troubleshoot during assessments while ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Reports: The Assessment Director will submit internal assessment reporting through state systems and prepare necessary statistics and reports related to state-mandated assessments at the direction of the Director of Operations.

• A proven working experience with staff, students, and their families
• Integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment

• A bachelors or master’s degree
• Experienced in administering statewide assessments
• Previous experience in public school system
