Reef was born in 1984 out of an idea by entrepreneur brothers from South America, Fernando and Santiago Aguerre. The Retail Sale Associate will ensure our DTC retail store operates smoothly while providing superior customer service. This is a part-time position based out of our retail store in Encinitas.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service using product knowledge and professional and appropriate selling techniques
• Engage and connect with customers to create a positive and memorable shopping experience.
• Listen intently to understand the customer's needs
• Educate the customer on product features and benefits
• Efficiently and accurately handles all sales transactions
• Solve any customer problems/answer any questions
• Inform customers of any promotions the brand is running
• Keep the floor organized, clean, and well stocked
• Follow safety regulations, including proper lifting procedures and timely reporting of any accidents
• Understand and follow REEF’s inventory control procedures to make sure all merchandise is accounted for correctly.

Skills, Knowledge, & Required Capabilities:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous retail experience required
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Demonstrated ability to flourish in a team environment
• Ability to quickly perform basic math
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift and move boxes of product up to 50 lbs.

Pay range is $18.00 - $20.00 hourly.
