Part Time: This is a part-time position (.8 FTE, 32 hours per week). The adjusted salary range is approximately $4,912 - $7,620 per month.

Position Highlights

The Josephine County Circuit Court in Grants Pass, Oregon, is hiring a part-time Treatment Court Coordinator (Program Coordinator) to support our drug court and mental health court programs.

In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the programs by collecting, maintaining, analyzing, and reporting data about the programs and program participants’ progress. In doing this, you will provide continual coordination, evaluation, and support to our primary treatment court coordinators, judges, and program participants. You will collaborate with treatment service providers, liaise with treatment service providers and judges, and work closely with court staff, attorneys, case managers, corrections department staff, and law enforcement officials. You will also provide community outreach by educating the public about the programs.

Additionally, you will enter data into the Treatment Court Management System, evaluate program participants’ treatment needs, refer participants to appropriate prevention and intervention services, track participants’ program status, and monitor participants’ compliance with case plans and recommendations. You will develop court policies and procedures for the programs, recommend program improvements, conduct research, and create and maintain administrative forms, handouts, handbooks, and presentations for new or enhanced services. You will also research, apply for, and secure grant funding for the programs, write periodic reports to funding agencies, request grant modifications as needed, and ensure grant compliance.

Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs.

Minimum Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, behavioral or social/human services, or a closely related field.

AND

Three (3) years of increasingly responsible technical or professional-level program experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position.

OR

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to seven (7) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.

Requested Skills and Attributes

  • Experience reviewing applicants’ materials to determine eligibility for entry into a program and meeting with program participants.
  • Experience explaining rules, policies, procedures, and decisions on behalf of an employer.
  • Experience accomplishing work through developing collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience writing grant proposals and having a working knowledge of the grant process.
  • Ability to maintain confidential records of program participants and monitor compliance with program requirements.
  • Experience working in a court or other legal environment is preferred but not required.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This is a part-time position (.8 FTE). The work schedule is to be determined but will typically fall between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. This position consists of a 32-hour workweek and is eligible for the straight-time payrate for up to 40 hours; it is eligible for overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 per workweek.
  • Occasional morning, after-hours, or weekend work, or working a flexible schedule, may be required.
  • Frequent travel to the Josephine County Jail to conduct interviews.
  • Occasional travel to other courts and OSCA divisions to attend meetings and training sessions.
  • Frequent phone, video, and in-person contact with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Frequent phone, video, and in-person contact with people who may be facing challenging life circumstances, highly stressful situations, or trauma.
  • Public speaking: may be required to make presentations to groups of varying sizes.
  • Long periods of sitting or standing.
  • Regular use of the following equipment: electronic recording equipment, telephone, OJD-assigned computer with multiple monitors, copy machine, fax machine, and scanner.
