We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Game Night Staff (Phoenix Suns) with the Basketball Communications Department. This position assists the Basketball Communications staff for all home games during a season. This seasonal position is for the entire WNBA season, starting in May with the flexibility of extending through October for the postseason.

What Will You Do:

• Assist with running the credential table for each home game
• Run box scores and any additional pertinent game day information to media members and broadcasters working the game
• Record and transcribe postgame media availabilities by Mercury and opposing team’s coaches and players
• Assist with game day setup of the media room, credential table and media seating areas

What We Need From Our Game Night Staff (Phoenix Mercury):

• Must be able to effectively communicate with fellow members of the game night staff and the Basketball Communications Department
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and remain flexible in the event additional game night duties are added
• Must conduct self in a professional and objective manner, especially around coaches and players
• Must be able to take direction and apply directions quickly and effectively
• Must be able and willing to work non-traditional hours/games/events/evenings/weekends/holidays

Experience/ Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required 
• Media Relations/PR experience preferred

• Flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, and some holidays to meet business needs
• Ability to transit around the arena for long periods of time
• This position works mainly indoors, removed from extreme weather; exposure to weather is <5%
• S-Sedentary Work – Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally
• Must be able to carry on a conversation both on the phone and in-person.
