We are currently seeking a focused, creative individual to become part of our tax team. In house, remote or hybrid options available. Out of state candidates welcome!
Job description
- Preparation and review of federal and state income taxes primarily for entities and individuals
- Builds new and existing client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of client business.
- Prepares internal memoranda, written correspondence/guidance, private letter rulings and other documents for submission to the IRS or state taxing authorities
- Interpret the U.S. tax code.
- Research the implications of tax laws and advise clients on tax related issues.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- CPA Certification preferred
- 3 years prior tax experience in public accounting.
- Experience preparing entities and individual tax returns.
- Strong accounting and analytical skills.
- Self-starter and team player with ability to recognize when additional hour commitments are needed and willingness to take on extra work to meet firm wide deadlines.
