Your day to day as a Property Room Manager

As a Property Room Manager at City of Novi, you will play a vital role in managing all types of property under the care of the Novi Police Department. Your duties will involve overseeing the proper intake and storage of found, recovered, or confiscated items, ensuring meticulous documentation and organization throughout the chain of custody process. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of the Property Room, handling property transactions with great care and attention to detail.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR EMPLOYMENT

An employee in this class, upon appointment, should have the equivalent of the following training and experience:

  • Minimum age of 21 years old.
  • United States citizen and reside in the State of Michigan.
  • Preference will be given to individuals with law enforcement experience.
  • Possess a valid Driver's License.
  • Have no criminal convictions for any serious misdemeanor or felony offenses.
  • Preference will be given to those who have experience in property room management.
  • Successfully pass a background investigation and a medical and psychological examination.
  • Pass a drug screen and submit to mandatory random drug & alcohol screening.
