·Creating treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients.

·Performing screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.

·Evaluating and diagnosing speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.

·Providing training and education to family/caregivers and other professionals.

·Working collaboratively with professionals from many other disciplines and effectively careplanning to enhance safety of residents. 

·Treating short- and long-term patients with a variety of health issues ranging from Alzheimer's disease to dysphagia.

·Working with people recovering from strokes, surgeries, and traumatic injuries.

·Providing care for dysphagia, cognitive-linguistic functioning, and speech-language deficits.
